2009 - Can you believe it?

We cannot. How is it that time flies by so quickly?

Aaron and I are both back to work and suffering from the post-holiday blues. We have yet to remove aforementioned holiday decorations, as if by some magical power, the lovely lights will prolong the inevitable. Alas...

We had such a wonderful holiday with our family and friends. Dee visited this past weekend, leaving just yesterday. So nice to have a few days together.

So, let's see... What's new?

I don't know if I've mentioned this in previous posts (I believe not), but Aaron has been giving guitar lessons to a friend's young son. He is really enjoying this and Wil (his student) is doing great! He learned Jingle Bells for the holiday.

I am planning a travel-free month of January here at the office. We'll see how long that lasts. Beyond work, I am a running fool. I love it! Who would have guessed? I'm upping the mileage continuously, preparing for the mini in May. We'll see if the ankle holds out.

We have already started dreaming of sunny skies and warm beaches, so we're anxious to plan our annual trek to Cabo. We love it there.

We both want to start doing some volunteer work this year - call it a resolution if you will. We both used to do more of this and really miss that sense of giving back and satisfaction.

Oh, and we are, of course, super psyched about and counting down to inauguration day. Woot!

Beyond that, business as usual. We hope everyone is well.

XOXO

Our tree is undecorated, but still dons lights and is sitting in our living room. Doug thinks perhaps we will just continually re-decorate it for the forthcoming holidays - President's Day, and then Valentine's Day....I love your resolution for charity, I shall join you in your efforts. Also, I would love for Aaron to hear Haley play at some point, perhpas he can give her a few pointers. She wrote a song last night, it's fabulous!
